Dj Doctor J was born in Toronto, Ontario. He started out Djing at a young age. For the past 30 years, Doctor J has been learning everything he can. His passion is House music, but he loves it all. Doctor J founded Energy885 to give back to his fans, and to share his love for music with the world. Here at Energy, we want there to be something for everyone. From Reggae to Top 40, there’s a little bit of everything here.
Doctor J spins House, Fidget House, Tech House, Top 40, Hip Hop, Old School Hip Hop, Classic House, and Reggae. He has Dj’d in a lot of clubs including Velvet Lounge (Sky Bar), Five O’Clocks Bar & Grill, Grasshopper, and The Vault lounge.
In Toronto, he has DJ’d at Kaboom Nightclub, and System Sound Bar. He has also worked on 3 radio stations; CKLN 88.1, 100.3/102.7 Sound FM and The Grand at 101.1 FM
Dj Doctor J has won Internet Radio Of The Year in the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018 P.E.A.B.O. Awards.
